Early 1980s
Mary had her 1st official Head Chef position at the Sergeantsville Inn in Sergeantsville New Jersey.
Late 1980s
Mary moved on to the historic Odette’s in New Hope, Pennsylvania, working closely with owner, Rocky Barbone. She was in charge of running the front and back of the house and also large scale on/off premise catering.
After Odette’s
Mary found herself in Baltimore, Md for a few years. Her focus was the opening of a nightclub/dinner theater/cafe. According to Mary, this is where she learned to make her fabulous crab cakes. Thanks, Baltimore!
Next Stop: The Poconos
Mary took over a failing Steak House & Bar in the ski resort area and turned it into a successful venue. Job well done.
1994 - Birth of Cactus Grill
The Cactus Grill was born as a American/Southwest Restaurant & Bar. Over 25 years of Family, Fun, Food, Music & Drink — and still going strong.
